We love providing our guests with an amazing adventure. Saltery Cove has been a special place for us for so many years, and we want to share it. Yes, we’ve got incredible fishing, but there’s so much more. We treat our guests like part of the family, which is why we have so many that return year after year. Families that bring their kids, businesses that treat their customers to an amazing retreat, and fishing buddies that love adventure–we host them all.
Our Credentials
To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and professional experience for all of our valued clients, Saltery Adventures, LLC is fully compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements for operating as a fishing guide and ocean fishing charter guide service in the state of Alaska. This includes:
Permits & Credentials:
- Valid Alaska sport fishing license and Charter Halibut PermitÂ
- Annual registration as a sport fishing guide with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G)
- U.S. Coast Guard Operator’s License (Six-Pack) for carrying passengers on navigable waters
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications

- Comprehensive general liability insurance for guiding operations
- Vessel insurance as required for safe and compliant maritime operations

Compliance with Federal & State Regulations:
- Enrollment in a USCG-approved random drug testing program
- Adherence to all safety and operational standards set forth by state and federal agencies
